By purchasing products from Nook Design Store Limited ("Nook") or using this website the purchaser ("customer"), agrees to the following terms and conditions of sale.
All prices shown are in New Zealand Dollars. Payments from customers outside of New Zealand are required to be in New Zealand Dollars. We do not accept any other currency. Your credit card issuer may apply charges for currency conversion. Nook will not cover the cost of these charges or accept responsibility for any currency conversion charges.
GST (Goods and Services Tax)
For New Zealand delivery addresses, all prices are New Zealand GST (Goods and Services Tax at 15%) inclusive unless otherwise stated. If your order ships to a delivery address outside New Zealand, no GST will be charged.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. When it becomes available we will be able to accept payment by bank transfer. Please note, your credit card information is not disclosed to any other party. Items will be dispatched once full payment has been received and funds have been cleared.
The name that will appear on cardholder/bank statements will be Nook.
Nook uses the DPS Payment Express Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. DPS processes online credit card transactions securely for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service.

Incorrect Bank Account Number
Where Nook gives the customer the choice to pay for products through bank transfer, if the customer credits money to the incorrect bank account number, and the correct number was provided to the customer by Nook, then Nook will not accept any responsibility for correcting payment and dispatch of the goods will be delayed.
Delivery of orders to an address within New Zealand is free of charge.
We are unable to send orders to a PO Box address.
All orders dispatched to an address within New Zealand are delivered door to door and may require a signature upon delivery. Track and Trace is standard for all orders dispatched to an address within New Zealand.
All orders shipped outside of New Zealand are sent International Airmail. Airmail charges will be calculated automatically applied to your order before payment is required. Unfortunately we are unable to send the PPL or CPL Kits overseas as single items, however we are able to send each of the five textbooks that make up the kit as individual items. International orders are sent at the purchaser's own risk. If the international shipping conditions do not meet your requirements, please send us an email.
Customs & Duties
For any orders shipped to an address outside of New Zealand the customer is the importer of record and will be responsible for all customs import duties and local sales tax charges. These charges vary in each country and are outside of Nook's control. Contact your local customs office for more information on what import duties or sales taxes may be imposed.
All orders sent within New Zealand are targeted for delivery between 3 and 5 working days. Orders shipped outside of New Zealand will normally take up to 10 working days.
Nook makes every effort practical to ensure that delivery timeframes given are accurate. However the delivery times stated assume that there are no unforeseen events. By placing an order, you agree not to hold Nook liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with any delay or failure to deliver within the estimated time frame.
If an orders is found to be mis-addressed by Nook then Nook will be responsible for the re-delivery, replacement or refunding of the item(s). If the customer is found to have given an incorrect or insufficient address, then Nook will not refund or resend the product and all responsibility for correcting delivery will be borne by the customer.
If you are not satisfied with the items you have ordered, please email us at email@example.com and let us know the reasons for your dissatisfaction. If you return your order to us within ten days of receipt, unused, with the goods undamaged and in their original packaging, we will be happy to offer a full refund or exchange the goods for other items.
- We will only accept goods returned with prior notification through correspondence with our sales team at firstname.lastname@example.org
- We cannot guarantee that we will be willing to accept the item for return or exchange if you do not contact us via email within ten days of receiving your goods.
- All returned goods must be sent to Nook.
- The original invoice/receipt must accompany the returned item.
- We can only accept items returned if they are within their original packaging.
- Courier/airmail and/or credit card charges will not be refunded.
- We will not refund your return courier/airmail costs.
- We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery.
Receiving a Refund
Once your orders has been returned to us within the above stated time frame, unless otherwise authorised by the Directors at Nook, we will begin to process your refund request. Each item will undergo a quality control check and once verified, your refund will be processed in the original payment format as your purchase was made within 30 days of the date of cancellation notice. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchasers credit card or bank account, including GST where applicable, but excluding courier/airmail charges. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when the transaction has taken place. Please note that your bank institution may require additional days to process and post the transaction to your account once they have received the information from Nook.
Only items which Nook can confirm as new and unused will be eligible for a refund or exchange, so that they have reached our returns department within the time frame outlined above, unless otherwise arranged with and agreed to by Nook. If we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange or refund we shall get in touch with you to discuss next steps. Nook reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged.
New Zealand Law
Any goods supplied or sold by Nook, are sold or supplied under conditions of New Zealand Law. The Laws of sale and contract by any other country do not apply.
- Where the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply, these terms will be read subject to the application of that Act, and in the case of any conflict, the provisions of that Act will apply.
- The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to business customers (where "business" is as defined by the Act). Business customers agree that where products are purchased for the purpose of a business that the Act does not apply.
Nook hereby grants you permission to access, view and download the content appearing on this site, for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to use any device, method or software to interfere with the proper functioning of this site. Without the expressed written permission of Nook, you may not use any device, method or software including, but not limited to: spiders, robots, avatars, agents, data mining, gathering or extraction tools and attempts to probe, scan or test or breach security and authentication measures.
